The 5th Annual Beer Fest was last weekend in Korçe. Korçe is located in the south of Albania and holds the countries only brewery. It was a 4 night festival, two nights of which I spent partaking in the 50L Korçe e zeze (Korçe dark). It was really fun to see a lot of the volunteers that are placed in different parts of the country and are way far away.
Highlight of night one: The closing band played American 80's music that we all got to enjoy right before we went home. The food there was so good. Bratwurst, hotdogs, chicken kabobs, patats. Good surprise. Highlight of night two: Well I don't know if you would call it a highlight but the actress from bring it on, not Kirsten Dunst but the dark haired one ("this school has no gymnastics team, this is my last resort"), is half Albanian and is doing a tourism promotion here with Lonely Planet.
